The Baltic region continues to shine as a rising AI powerhouse. According to the newly released Baltic AI Landscape by Venture Faculty and Dealroom.co, over 180 AI-driven companies are now actively shaping the future across Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania.

These startups span nine high-impact sectors, including Sales & Marketing, EdTech, Creative AI, Fintech, LegalTech, Healthcare, and Biotech, offering a rich diversity of innovation across both B2B and B2C solutions. The report categorizes top-tier companies alongside promising hidden gems, making this one of the most comprehensive snapshots of the region’s AI ecosystem to date.

A key takeaway from the research: EU public funding plays a major role in driving AI innovation. The number of AI startups in each country strongly correlates with available public investment, demonstrating how government support fuels tangible entrepreneurial output.

Beyond funding, the report applauds the essential work of organizations like MILA, the Artificial Intelligence Association of Lithuania, and AIRE (AI & Robotics Estonia) for shaping national AI strategies and increasing adoption. Meanwhile, ecosystem builders such as Startin.LV, Startup Lithuania, Startup Estonia, and the national investment agencies are playing an equally critical role, helping new companies integrate AI capabilities more efficiently.

This ecosystem is also home to forward-thinking voices and innovators like Armands Broks, Evalds Urtans, Aurimas Griciūnas, Kadri Tuisk, Justinas Pasys, and Linnar Viik, leaders who are helping elevate the region’s global relevance in AI.

The goal of this report is clear: to offer a living resource that supports AI founders, investors, innovators, and policymakers across the Baltics and beyond.

As the map grows, so does the opportunity. If you’re building something in AI or know a tool that should be added, now’s the time to contribute and shape the Baltic AI narrative.
